Tiburon Discovery

My high school buddy and long time friend, international actress Barbara Bouchet and film star from the Star Trek TV Series and "Casino Royal" Bond movie, invited me to join her and her sisters on a couple of shopping trips to Triburon and Petaluma boutiques. The weather was fantastic and ripe for having fun. Each store we visited offered wonderful gift ideas and fashion treats. Especially the Unique Boutique on Tiburon Blvd. Owner Debbie Hershy's on-consignment array of clothing, purses, hats and several other "unique pieces" were simply delightful. I couldn't resist having one of her hand-crafted pop-art purses. And the price was just right. Another place Barbara and I enjoyed visiting was the "Ruth Livingston Studio" on Main Street. This "one of a kind" hand-crafted artist purses, ceramics, art and furniture designs were all fully framed within quality craftsmanship and great imagination. And a wonderful staff made our visit even more enjoyable.

Petaluma Fun Day

Our day in Petaluma was equally delightful. As soon as we arrived, I rushed over to Joe Hamer's Salon to say hello to my cousin Joe Hamer. I quickly learned he was not in but actually at his salon in Mill Valley. Although disappointed, it was time to have some more "girl fun."

Barbara and I spent several hours at The Petaluma Collective, one of our favorites places to shop for "vintage" goodies, while her sisters decided to visit some of other interesting shops on Petaluma Boulevard. Before leaving town we all ended up at Marisa's Fantasia at the Lan Mart Building. Specializing in fine gifts and holiday decor, Marisa's Fantasia was like being in a "Wonderland of Christmas Past." And the unqiue window display is what caught our eye and drew us to enter the store. It was a wonderful experience and I want to thank Mary not only for her her interest in my designer scarf samples but also in presenting the past and how Marisa's Fantasia began. The story alone is worth a visit.
