“AUNTIE”

(50s60s unknown exact age) has moved in with Sam’s mother who is actually her daughterin law. It is unknown where her son has gone off to but there is some definite tension within the household of Auntie as an added financial burden.

Auntie uses fishing as a way to clear her mind but also as a way to have some fleeting dignity and pride by being able to provide something to the household. Fishing at the Pier reminds her of how things were in her old country; when people had a more direct relation to providing for their own needs. She has a dry sense of humor.
